Like a jewel handpicked from the chocolate swamps of the Dirty South hails the Goddaughter

from the Muddy Waters—2MEKA. Born from the rhythm of New Orleans and sharpened in

Atlanta’s hip-hop corridor, 2MEKA (known professionally as 2Meka Diaz) is an artist who

merges discipline, lyricism, and fearless femininity into a sound that refuses confinement.

Raised in a musically grounded and single-parent household by a community-activist mother,

MEKA’s artistic foundation was formed early. She began writing monologues at six and

harmonizing in a family gospel group that traveled the south. Structure, sound, and stage

presence became second nature.  Her entry into entertainment came with a featured appearance in Kasi Lemmons’ Eve’s Bayou, opening the door to radio, national television spots, voiceover branding, and film. But it was music where she carved her sharpest edge.

Relocating from New Orleans to Atlanta, MEKA gained attention in the hip-hop scene for her

intricate twist and triple-twist rhyme patterns—technical, deliberate, and commanding. She

signed with Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Records before later aligning with Corey “C-Murder”

Miller’s TRU Records, collaborating on multiple releases including C-Murder’s and Boosie

Badazz Penitentiary Chances on the song "Remember Me,"  and working alongside Billboard-charting producer Cuttboy G Dinero.  Her solo single “B.M.S.” earned rotation on BET Jams, MTV, and Music Choice, reached #7 on the Urban Influencer Rap Mixshow Chart, and led to a feature in Billboard Magazine’s Grammy Preview Issue.

In 2026, MEKA expands her artistic reach with “BADDIES,” a genre-blending record that fuses

the dramatic tension of Vivaldi with hip-hop’s percussive confidence. The track reflects her

wide-ranging musical palate and commitment to breaking sonic boundaries—pairing classical

intensity with bold lyricism and club-ready energy. The result is both regal and rebellious,

rooted in empowerment without sacrificing edge.

Beyond music and film, MEKA is a Human Rights advocate, board member of Elsie Scott Dunn’s

Edify Teen Life Center, pageant judge, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her work

reflects a consistent throughline: presence with purpose.
